During 2020's Covid lockdown, my colleague Barbara Levine and I collaborated across the miles (from San Francisco to San Miguel de Allende) to create pages for You Promised Us Sunshine, an imagined photo book. Not yet published outside of social media, these pages combine found photos, my own photography, and abstraction to consider memory, loneliness and separation during these fraught times.
